Retro comic book-inspired website for a darts bar — brand concept, custom illustration, design, development, and booking system all built from scratch.
Blitz Pikado Bar is a venue built around craft drinks and competitive darts. They had a strong community and a loyal following — what they didn't have was a website that captured any of it. Events weren't being discovered online, bookings came in by phone only, and there was no visual identity to speak of.
We built everything from the ground up: brand concept, visual identity, and all custom illustrations created in-house. The design direction came from retro comic books — bold outlines, dramatic panel layouts, high-contrast colour. Every graphic on the site was drawn from scratch to fit the concept. No stock art, no generic assets.
The site does real operational work alongside the visual identity: a tournament section with event listings and registration, an online booking system for lane reservations, and a fully responsive build that carries the comic book aesthetic to mobile without losing any impact.
The whole thing was built in Webflow with custom JavaScript to handle the interactive elements.
Within weeks of launching, table bookings moved primarily online and tournament registrations followed. The venue now drives event attendance through the site rather than word of mouth alone. The visual identity has since extended to social media and physical signage — the brand has a consistent language it didn't have before.
